Măng Tây Sốt Dầu Hào Chay ( Asparagus in Vegetarian Oyster Sauce )



1 bunch asparagus
1 Table spoon vegetarian oyster sauce
1/2 Table spoon rice vinegar
Sugar, soy sauce to taste
1 tea spoon toasted sesame


Trim tough areas at the bottom of the spears, soak and wash in water to remove any soil or sand. Use a vegetable peeler and peel off the skin, downward toward the base.

Put them on a dish, cook in microwave for 1 minute.

Put vinegar and vegetarian oyster sauce in a small sauce pan, stir and bring to boil. Season with sugar and soy sauce to taste. Drain liquid if any from cooked asparagus to the pot (I didn't do this part so my sauce turns watery). Lower hear to simmer until thicken. Pour over asparagus and sprinkle toasted sesame on top.
